I have a perfectly functioning website using 1.7 - I export the MySql database, do a 'find & replace' to change all instances of the domain name - then import the sql to the webserver.

I've FTP'ed all files.

My site comes up with, I believe, the default quickset (grey). If I go to admin/Privateer - I get the message "No Category Options found!" - yet my import of the Sql database appears perfect (same number of tables)

I've exported a quickset with configurations... and when I try to import it, here's a sample of what I get:

Privateer: 401 Updates In File
Privateer: ProcessChangeStyle: Failed update query
Privateer: Query: UPDATE pwsOption SET currentValue = '' WHERE codeName = 'pws_pvt_manual_postinfos_intro'
Privateer: Line#: 5
Privateer: ProcessChangeStyle: Failed update query
Privateer: Query: UPDATE pwsOption SET currentValue = '' WHERE codeName = 'pws_pvt_maintenance_level'
Privateer: Line#: 5
Privateer: ProcessChangeStyle: Failed update query
Privateer: Query: UPDATE pwsOption SET currentValue = 'This site is currently unavailable to unauthorized users.' WHERE codeName = 'pws_pvt_maintenance_message'
Privateer: Line#: 5
Privateer: ProcessChangeStyle: Failed update query
Privateer: Query: UPDATE pwsOption SET currentValue = 'No' WHERE codeName = 'pws_pvt_use_builtin_seo'
Privateer: Line#: 5
Privateer: ProcessChangeStyle: Failed update query
Privateer: Query: UPDATE pwsOption SET currentValue = 'No' WHERE codeName = 'pws_pvt_sitemap_use_builtin'

As I'm running several other websites utilizing your theme on the same webhost, I'm forced to conclude that it's the Xampp 1.7.1 that isn't playing nice...

Can you suggest anything, Tony?

Solved the problem!

All I did was switch to the default theme that comes with Wordpress 3.0 - then switch back to Privateer - and import my quickset.

Bingo! Everything worked!

Very nice. I was going to request a copy of the mysql database export ( I'm reasonably good with databases, especially mysql ), but glad to hear things worked out.

I was going nuts there for a little while, because I'd already moved the DNS pointers, and although I don't have a great deal of traffic, every bit helps, and there's no sense in letting any of it to escape.

My next project is to see how to slightly increase the font size - I like the font size on the default Wordpress 3.0 theme... so if I don't find it soon - I'll be asking you! (I'm a big believer in trying to work things out myself - I learn more that way!)

To set default font sizes for the site, be sure to check the following menus:
  • Privateer - General Display - Page Framing ( the page container style )
  • Privateer - General Display - Body Style and Text ( the html body tag styling option)
